This document has been produced as part of a joint educational project between the University of the West of England, The University of Twente and the University of Barcelona, with funding from the European Commission. As well as being a self-contained sourcebook for practitioners, it is the set text for an open/distance learning unit (5f) which is part of the Certificated Programme in Community Safety and Crime Prevention, offered by the University of the West of England in conjunction with the Safe Neighbourhoods Unit.
