The mission of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners and professionals from several disciplines and occupations to shed light on important research issues and priorities, relating to the role of planning policy and design in the promotion of young people’s outdoor play and physical activities. 

Participants include researchers, policy makers, students, architects, landscape architects, urban designers, geographers, public health professionals, educators, community safety experts, social scientists, transport professionals, local authorities, and other individuals and organisations interested in creating environments for young people that can help to counteract sedentary lifestyles and stimulate play and physical activities.
