Stage 3: Installation of bored piles

Trimming the top of the sheet piles

Pull out the casing partially using vibration Steel columns ready for plunging into wet concrete
  1. Trim the top of the sheet piles.
  2. Install 600 mm diameter reinforced concrete bored piles with cast-in steel columns.
  3. Vibrate casing to toe into the sandstone.
  4. Auger out pile socket into the sandstone.
  5. Insert reinforcement cage and place concrete by tremie to basement level.
  6. Partly oscillate (vibrate) out casing to almost level with the top of the concrete pile.
  7. Plunge steel column into wet concrete.
  8. Backfill with fine granular material after concrete has set.
  9. Remove casing completely.
